Our Mission Statement

We are a team with the purpose of helping all citizens of Charleston and Kanawha County achieve for themselves, according to each individual's capacity, a state of physical, mental, and social well-being.

Our Vision

We envision a Health Department that is an effective advocate for community health.  We want to be trusted as a source of information, to be responsive to the community's needs and to be public health leaders in Kanawha County and beyond.  We look forward to a time when our team’s efforts, added to those of many others, result in measurable improvement in the health of our population.
